New training course related to BS EN ISO 15614-1:2017

'2017 Edition of BS EN ISO 15614-1: Review of the Changes and their Practical Implications' will be delivered at TWI's state-of-the art training centre near Cambridge, UK on 24 October 2017 with further dates planned for November and December 2017 at TWI Cambridge and TWI North East (Middlesbrough).

The new training course is ideal for welding engineers, welding co-ordinators, QA personnel, inspectors, auditors and anyone who applies, or is planning to apply, ISO 15614-1:2017 in their work.

The one-day course will help participants familiarise themselves with the latest edition of the standard, understand the rationale between the updates and the effects these have on existing and future welding procedure qualifications.

Each course will be delivered by an experienced TWI welding engineer, who is a member of the ISO committee responsible for the ISO 15614-1 standard.

Standards development

TWI actively participates in the development of technical and safety-related standards, to support both industry and wider society. The company is active in some 100 UK, American, French and international standards committees, working with organisations such as BSI, AFCEN, API, ASME, NACE, CEN and ISO, and influential technical industry forums, such as IIW and TAGSI.

This allows Industrial Members to put forward their needs and new developments for consideration in international standards, and provides them with fast access to authoritative opinions on the application of specific standard requirements and the rationale behind them. Our contribution is also beneficial to the standards-developing organisations, as it reflects the constant interaction with our membership base.
