Commencement of New Sponsored Programme at TWI Malaysia

Corresponding to the strategies and initiatives drawn under the 12th Malaysia Plan; steering the national TVET (Technical and Vocational Education and Training) agenda. TWI has been working closely with Yayasan Peneraju to provide a platform that will able to prepare graduates who fulfill the industry needs and boost the industry’s active involvement via its funding programme called The Skills Leader Programme (Program Peneraju Skil).

The Skills Leader Programme (Program Peneraju Skil) is a collaboration between Yayasan Peneraju, Nitkertz, and TWI. The programme focuses on vocational and technical skills education that is on par with industry demands through national and internationally recognised certifications.

In early August this year, Yayasan Peneraju Pendidikan Bumiputera widened its Skills Leader Programme’s (Program Peneraju Skil) spectrum by sponsoring another programme called CSWIP NDT MT & UTTM Inspector. The programme focuses on high-skill and industry-recognised certifications with at least three (3) years of working experience as an NDT aged 45 years and below. This sponsorship is available to candidates with up to 90% of the programme cost* (training fee + certification). Interested candidates must meet the following requirements.

Eligibility requirements:

  • Malaysian citizen
  • Aged 45 years and below
  • Have at least three (3) years of working experience as an NDT
  • Fit and healthy
  • Not colour blind
  • Other agreed terms and conditions

On August 9, 2022, Yayasan Peneraju Pendidikan Bumiputera and its partner, Evo Business Consulting visited TWI Malaysia for a meet and greet session with the students at the TWI training facility. During the session, Mr. Syaffiq Ismail the Associate Director, Programme & Service Delivery Management, Ms. Alfia Nelisa Junaidy, Associate, Programme & Service Delivery Management of Yayasan Peneraju, and representatives from Evo Business Consulting encouraged the students to work hard in grasping skills and knowledge learned from TWI for their future undertakings.

The meet and greet session ended with a tour of TWI Malaysia’s facilities and a demonstration of various NDT inspections and welding techniques that has been running at the training center.
