GEOHEX Project Research to be presented at EGC 2022

Tue, 04 October, 2022

TWI project leader, David Martelo is due to deliver a presentation on the GEOHEX project at the European Geothermal Congress 2022 (EGC 2022), which is taking place in Berlin from 17-21 October 2022.

EGC 2022 has been created to provide a stage to discuss new developments related to the industry, science, technology, and policy of geothermal energy.

David’s presentation, ‘Anti-Corrosion and Anti-Scaling of Geothermal Heat Exchangers’ will take place on Thursday 20 October 2022, when he will explain how the project has been working to enhance corrosion, scaling and heat transfer performance by developing innovative new coatings for a range of different components. These coatings have the potential to reduce cost and increase performance of geothermal heat exchangers.

EGC 2022

The European Geothermal Congress is Europe’s largest event of its type, drawing stakeholders from across the continent and from further afield. The diverse event is created by the sector for the sector and includes policy and scientific sessions, an exhibition, training courses, science bars, site visits, and networking events to promote the geothermal sector in Europe and beyond.

Organised every three years, the EGC provides a unique opportunity for stakeholders from all parts of the sector, whether academic, industrial, financial, policy-making, or societal, to come together, learn, and find new ways to progress.

The GEOHEX project has received funding from the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 851917
