TWI Azerbaijan and Pergam Italia jointly held a Technology Day event on 11 October 2022. The event was opened by Karim Shakouri, TWI Azerbaijan’s country manager together with the head of the NDT department of Pergam company. Experts from different countries presented various presentations, talked about new technologies and devices, and reviewed the devices during the event.
Among the topics discussed during the event were Oil & Gas leak detection and Non-destructive testing. Mr. Ravil from Pergam Italia presented various in-house products of Pergam group including a DLS remote laser gas detector for methane leaks localization, OPGAL EYECGAS equipment, a Portable device that provides visual detection of industrial hydrocarbon gases (Optical Gas Imaging (OGI) as well as Distran handheld tool for leaks visualization.
Ami Zuaretz from Ofil Systems delivered a presentation on the topics of Offshore Oil-Spill remote sensing locating and recording system and OFIL UVolle and OFIL Luminar HD portable UV cameras for diagnostics of electrical equipment, portable UV cameras for diagnostics and detection of corona discharges on suspension and support insulation in substations and overhead power lines.
Jonathan Taylor from Evident spoke about Olympus/Evident PAUT solutions for weld inspection and corrosion mapping and Igor from Pergam made a presentation on the topic of Olympus/Evident RVI solutions. Eddyfi representative, Vadim Zelenyuk presented Eddy-current and MFL equipment for pipe and tank inspection and, Silvano Succetti from 3E NDT delivered a presentation on the topic of ICM Go-Scan C-view real-time X-ray imaging system for CUI and FLYABILITY ELIOS3 which is the world's first collision-tolerant drone equipped with a LiDAR sensor for indoor 3D mapping.
The relevant representatives of many local and international well-known companies engaged in Oil & Gas and NDT fields participated in the event, and at the end of the event, expressed their satisfactory feedback about the event and stated that they learned a lot of useful new information from the presentations.
