TWI and CENTEXS Mukah Oil & Gas Academy Official Cooperation

The Centre of Technical Excellence Sarawak (CENTEXS) officiated its training centre in Mukah on 28 August 28th 2021. The centre, located at Sungai Petian, aims to meet the needs of the middle region of Sarawak by upskilling the local community, improving their employability and creating more job opportunities in the state, especially for the people in Mukah, Dalat and nearby areas such as Bintulu and Miri.


TWI will contribute to this initiative by providing its standard training programmes and qualifications. The launch of CENTEXS Mukah was officiated by the Right Honourable Chief Minister, Datuk Patinggi (Dr) Abang Haji Abdul Rahman Zohari bin Tun Datuk Abang Haji Openg. A virtual exchange of agreement between CENTEXS and TWI South East Asia was held in the presence of the CENTEXS Chief Executive Officer and Ernesto Moskini the Regional Manager of TWI S.E.A.


The LOA between CENTEXS and TWI stands for the provision of training, examination and certification through TWI in the categories of welding technology, welding inspection, non-destructive testing and blasting and painting operator.


YAB Chief Minister congratulated CENTEXS on its expanding branch (CENTEXS Mukah), noting that the training programmes offered meet the needs in Sarawak to produce future skilled manpower.
CENTEXS Mukah, which has a capacity of 890 trainees, is equipped with 14 workshops, 22 classrooms and has a self-contained accommodation facility that can accommodate up to 600 students. To learn more about CENTEXS, visit their website at www.centex-sarawak.my or contact them at 082-846408.
