TWI CS and Ministry of Emergency Situations Sign an MOU

A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Azerbaijan State Labor Protection and Safety Technical Scientific Research Institute of the State Agency for Safe Conduct of Work in Industry and Mining Supervision of the Ministry of Emergencies (AzDAMTTETI) and TWI Azerbaijan on September 02, 2022.

The main purpose of the Memorandum of Understanding signed between AzDMTTETI and TWI Azerbaijan is to establish continuous cooperation between the two institutions in the provision of scientific-technical, methodical services for ensuring technical safety and labor protection in the industrial and mining areas, as well as in the preparation of technical normative legal acts and other documents.

 

Within the framework of the memorandum, TWI Azerbaijan will support AzDAMTTETI in preparing joint programs for AzDAMTTETI's activities, in international support programs, as well as in ensuring the implementation of calls for cooperation with international organizations. In addition, the parties will provide mutual experience exchange for organizing joint conferences and seminars, providing training and mentoring support for personnel training, which can contribute to the development of cooperation.

 

After the signing of this memorandum, TWI Azerbaijan will familiarize Ministry of Emergency Situations personnel with new modern equipment and provide them with various training courses related to working with the equipment. TWI Caspian Sea will also provide AzDAMTTETI' personnel with international CSWIP certificates after successful participation in relevant international training and examinations. The personnel are scheduled to participate in Welding Inspection and different NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) training at TWI Caspian Sea facilities. It is also planned to provide internal courses for employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations by expert teachers of TWI Azerbaijan. One of those courses being - "General inspection and assessment of pressure equipment" has already been successfully conducted.

It is also planned to jointly develop new inspection procedures and provide knowledge and experience exchange for both parties.

TWI Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Emergency Situations plan to carry out joint inspections. These inspections include pressurized tanks, underground and above-ground pipes (oil and gas), inspection of plants, etc.

We are certain that cooperation with one of the most important ministry of the country will greatly contribute to the further development of TWI Azerbaijan.
