TWI SEA delivers first NEBOSH IGC course in Myanmar

Wed, 11 December, 2019

The course, which was in-house training for PETRONAS Carigail Myanmar Ltd (PCML) staff, was a success. Candidates who all work in the HSSE Department were pleased with the training and the lecturing style of Danny Cousins.

Danny, who is TWI’s global product manager for health and safety, has been with TWI since 2017 and with more than 15 years of experience in HSE training and consultancy services, he has a successful track record of delivering NEBOSH IGC courses in the UK and across the South East Asia region.

NEBOSH International General Certificate is a globally recognised health and safety qualification which is suitable for companies or individuals working to international standards with regards to health, safety and environment as this course focuses on the International Labour Standards (ILO) codes of practice.

The training was well-received by the attendees. Ohnmar, one of the participants, mentioned that she found the course to be very good in providing her with the necessary knowledge about occupational safety and health as well as the industrial hygiene topic that can benefit her in her career:

‘’The Lecturer is very knowledgeable and he can clearly explain the concepts which helps us to remember each and every example he’s given us during the training”.

TWI South East Asia conducts the NEBOSH IGC course regularly at its training centres in Malaysia and Thailand and the course is due to run again in 2020.
