Tue, 08 June, 2021

TWI Indonesia, registered under the name of PT. Teknologi Weldim Indonesia, was incorporated in February 2014 and was originally based in Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta. In 2016, the company was moved to a new office in Mampang Prapatan, South Jakarta, which has become the base for the operations of TWI in Indonesia.

TWI Indonesia offers training and certification in various cities across the country, such as Cilegon, Batam, Medan, Balikpapan, and Jakarta. TWI-approved training representatives in each location are responsible for organising the training events in each location. The Visual Welding Inspector, Welding inspector and Senior Welding Inspector training courses are among the most popular courses conducted by TWI Indonesia on a regular basis.

One of the biggest achievements of TWI Indonesia was joining forces with Lloyd’s Register Foundation in 2018 to collaborate on the South East Asia Skill Enchantment Programme (SEASEP), which successfully trained more than 2000 candidates across the country from under represented communities. The initiative have been an outstanding opportunity for Indonesian citizens who were able to access world-class training and globally recognised certification with the help of financial aid in the form of bursaries. Through the SEASEP programme, TWI Indonesia offered various training courses including CSWIP 3.0 Visual Welding Inspector, Magnetic Particle Testing and Penetrant Testing, Radiographic Interpretation, BGAS-CSWIP Painting Inspection and Site Coating Inspector, as well as NEBOSH IGC and IOSH Managing Safely.

With excellent team work and leadership from management, TWI Indonesia has successfully navigated through the pandemic crisis and begun to once again welcome candidates at venues throughout the country. Moreover, it has added a new set of training courses in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) and BGAS-CSWIP to its offerings as well.

In the future, TWI Indonesia is planning to add advanced NDT techniques such as Automatic Ultrasonic Testing - Data Interpretation (AUT DI) as well as Time of Flight Diffraction (TOFD) courses to the range of training on offer.

TWI Indonesia has had various successful collaborations with Government institutions including State Polytechnic of Medan, State Polytechnic of Batam, Bandung Institute of Engineering and Science, Faculty of Engineering Universitas Indonesia, and the Shipbuilding Polytechnic of Surabaya. These ongoing collaborations aim to upskill the youth and train a skillful workforce for the development of Indonesia.
